THE TIMEZONE WATCH SCHOOL Watch Glossary THE ESCAPEMENT: The geometry of the pallets, pallet lever, and escape wheel teeth assure that the pressure of the escape wheel tooth will deepen and maintain the lock of the pallet. The escape wheel pressure is referred to as "draw." Draw keeps the pallet lever firmly against its banking pin.
